Every call made to QuickBooks is a read. Nothing in your books can be changed, posted, or deleted.

What we access — and what we can't

We read (read-only)

✓ Your Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow

✓ Underlying transactions (general ledger)

✓ Accounts-receivable aging and customer sales

✓ Payroll expense totals (where your books carry them)

We cannot

✗Change, add, or delete anything in your books

✗Move money, pay bills, or send invoices

✗See your QuickBooks password or bank login

✗See employee SSNs or tax-withholding details

Read-only — by design

We connect with read-only access, and every request made to QuickBooks is a read. There is no code path in the system that writes to your books. We read your financial statements to run the analysis — that's the whole job. The tool is not capable of changing a number, posting a transaction, or deleting anything.

You authorize through Intuit — we never see your password

When you click Connect QuickBooks, you sign in on Intuit's own screen and grant access there. Your QuickBooks username and password never touch our system. We receive a secure access token, stored AES-256-GCM encrypted. The token can only read the reports listed above and expires on Intuit's own schedule.

Encrypted, and yours to delete

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Disconnect anytime — that revokes the access token with Intuit immediately, so the tool can no longer read your books. You can also request deletion of all your data at any time. No waiting, no email required.

One click to disconnect and delete. We won't ask why or try to retain you. Your data is yours.

Private by default — no one sees it unless you say so

We do not sell your data and do not use it to train AI models. No buyer, broker, or lender sees your diagnostic as part of this process. If you later want to share specific results with an advisor or a buyer, that is entirely your choice — and you control exactly what they see. You can revoke access at any time.

The only people who see your numbers are you and Fenwick Partners. That's the point.
